Ikat patterns occupy a special place in Isabelle de Borchgrave’s world. They embody her deep love for textiles from across the globe and for traditional craftsmanship, a tribute to the art of weaving and the passing down of artisanal know-how. Their blurred, vibrant forms reflect her pursuit of harmony, as well as her talent for colour, repetition, and movement. The Pierre Frey studio has revisited this magnificent design in a thick jacquard with a heavy yet supple hand, particularly well-suited for seating.
