Blackthorn was designed as wallpaper by J. H. Dearle in 1892. Its tapestry-like arrangement of curling leaves and softly mottled surface recall traditional hand-printed woodblocks. This recolouring from the Colours of Morris collection features sloe blossom, violets and meadow flowers, including fritillaries and daisies.
